History

It’s hard to tell the history of DAC with out telling Steve’s history.  At an early age Steve learned about family, both his grandpas were very family oriented and constantly taught and live in those values.  Steve’s dad (Chuck) also taught and lived those values often doing 2nd odd job on weekends and evenings, also going without sometimes to provide for his family.  Later in life Steve looked up his family history and traced the Rees name back to England.  PS. The Rees name also comes with the strange humor.

At an early age (13) Steve started working part time with his dad at Gene’s Office Equipment cleaning and fixing typewriters used in high schools typing classes.  It was at this age his folks saw he had the natural abilities also possessed by his dad.  He has been fixing and building things every since.

Ok back to work.  At college Steve got tired of a practical joker in his class and set up a home made little alarm he built with a buzzer, a battery, and some wire to catch him.  The buzzer scared the guy so bad he jumped and tripped over a chair.  So getting into the alarm business was natural.

In September of 1991 Herb Conlon ask Steve to join his alarm business as a partner.  He did all the installation and service, and Herb did the selling.  He had now found a career he enjoyed that would provide for his wife and at that time two-year-old daughter.  In December our lives changed big time as we had twin sons.

In 1998 Steve took over as sole owner of Security Systems, the state made us find a new name so why not name it after the 3 people that he bought this business for. So with great pride we named our shop DAC Security Systems LC.  DAC stands for Danielle, Aaron and Charles our children. Even though he works hard it is for his children’s future and it is what he loves. We have since added locksmith services to what we do.  It was a hobby Steve enjoyed and could help build the business.  It would also help save customers money not having to pay for 2-service calls to change arm\disarm codes and have locks rekeyed.  I’m also proud of him for saving those poor keys that get locked into cars.  Yes the Rees humor has rubbed off a little on me too.

So now you see what DAC Security Systems LC is and it is no surprise that Steve is looking forward to more years of doing what he enjoys and the challenges it brings protecting your family and property, so that you won’t have to worry about your house and family. We want you to be able to leave on vacation and not worry about if someone has broken into your home, or that the sump pump quit and your basement is now the indoor pool.  IT IS SO GREAT TO HAVE THAT PEACE OF MIND.
